Indian Certification Body Eco Stewardship Partners with SCS Global Services
SCS Global Services (SCS) announced that it has teamed up with veteran certification providers, Shovans Das and Teena Antil, who together have co-founded Eco Stewardship Pvt. Ltd. to serve India and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Eco Stewardship’s focus will be on providing third-party inspection, verification, certification, and training to promote sustainable practices in forestry and forest product supply chains.

SCS has been providing internationally recognized environmental and sustainability third-party certification services for over 35 years. Its forestry experts served on the founding board of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®). SCS currently services 3,155 FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) certificates globally. Mr. Das has served in various leadership and client service roles in India and MENA Region, including Senior Lead Auditor for evaluating compliance with international forest products schemes such as FSC and the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). He has also served as a Lead Auditor for the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), and for Global Sustainable Tourism Council Standards for Hotels and Tour operators.
Ms. Antil, Co-Founder and Director of Eco Stewardship, has more than a decade of experience providing services in connection with FSC and PEFC certification. During her career, she has worked with more than 500 companies from different sectors like paper mills, printers, packaging, handicrafts, plywood, sawmill, textile and rubber, and more.
