The Challenge
Calumet Specialty Products (Calumet) launched a new product, TitanZero™ Carbon Neutral Wax, a wax blend made with a combination of paraffin and soy ingredients, used to make candles. The Calumet team achieved Carbon Neutral Certification for their wax and were planning to go to market with this new environmentally friendly product and needed the marketing content to properly communicate with their sales teams, customers, and stakeholders. In conjunction with preparing their sales teams for going to market with this new product, Calumet also wanted to announce their certification status and inform a broader audience about the environmental impacts of this carbon neutral wax to Calumet’s broader sustainability goals.
Outcome
SCS worked with Calumet to analyze their challenges and develop solutions. With the help of the SCS’ technical and marketing team, we collaborated on marketing content for Calumet to share with their downstream candle brands. We helped customize their brochure content to meet their sales needs of explaining their wax’s carbon neutral status, what it would mean to candle companies, what it does for the environment, and why their customers should care.
SCS’ design team created imagery for the product launch and ensured different formats and versions for a range of multimedia across their website, social media, and for sales teams. When launch came, SCS helped distribute and propel the press release by pushing it through our own social channels, posting it on our website, and amplifying it through a sustainability newswire with a targeted email to journalists and publications specific to their industry.
